Certain songs bring back forgotten eras, and linger on in hearts already separated by time and distance. 10,000 kilometers from home, a longing for the lost feeling of familiarity sparked a study on entertainment and the value of sentiment. Hoping to document the attachment I thought I lay behind these songs, my romanticised notions were slowly unraveled instead. I found that the deepest attachments could be borne from simple appreciation, and that the present can be more nostalgic than the past.
